Saudi Arabia Eases Visa Requirements for Pakistani Tourists
Tourists Visa:
Saudi Arabia has relaxed visit visa conditions for Pakistani tourists, making travel easier and more accessible.
Under the new regulations, Pakistani tourists can now submit a monthly credit of US$750 or an equivalent bank statement to obtain a visit visa.
This change comes as a response to the increasing number of Pakistani tourists visiting Saudi Arabia. In 2023, there was a 43 percent increase in Pakistani visitors compared to the previous year, and 2.7 million Pakistani tourists are expected to visit in 2024.
To support this growing influx, Saudi Arabia has established six Tasheer offices in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, and Multan. These offices provide user-friendly services such as visa application guidance, biometric enrollment, status tracking, and passport delivery. To avoid long queues, travelers can book appointments on the Tasheer website (Visa Service Center of KSA) before visiting these offices.
Transit Visa:
Additionally, Saudi Arabia has introduced a transit visa for Pakistanis traveling via Saudi Airlines and FlyNass. This visa allows tourists to visit Saudi Arabia for up to 96 hours. Travelers holding UK, US, or Schengen visas can also avail themselves of a visa on arrival.
Last year, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia introduced a one-year multiple-entry visa for Pakistani travelers. This visa allows multiple visits within a year, enabling tourists to explore various cities and perform Umrah. This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to promoting spiritual journeys and cultural exchange.
The simplified visa system encourages Pakistani citizens not only to visit friends and family and perform Umrah but also to experience the vibrant city life of Riyadh, the cultural heritage of Jeddah, the hidden treasures of the Red Sea, and the ancient wonders of Al-Ula.
