So, you have to make a blocked account for a year. In that, you have to deposit amount equivalent to 1100 per month almost. You have to deposit 10k-12k Euros. And when we reach there, the bank gives you 1100 every month. You don’t have all the money. They want you to make sure that you don’t become a burden on the society. And at least you will be able to live there.

The money kept in blocked account is yours and surely in your name, but you cannot access the whole deposited amount at once. You get a monthly allowance into your regular bank account opened at a German bank of your choice.
As soon as you deposit the required amount, the bank / organization you selected for the account opening will issue a “blocking confirmation”. This is the document that the authorities require you to submit together with your visa or residence permit application. It functions as your financial proof.
